SNOW JOKE FOR HARRIS & COLEMAN AS ORMEROD OPENS GAP
Why-o-why-o-why do (seemingly) intelligent people such as 2nd and 3rd placed Jeff Coleman and Peter Harris keep thinking West Brom will actually win a game of football? Such foolhardiness sees Alex Ormerod open up a tidy 4 point gap at the top of the TFG League thanks to another solid Liverpool display at Anfield.
And it wasn’t just Harris and Coleman who were struck down by the WBA curse, a whopping 28 of you were clearly deluded! Liverpool (if you still had them in your pick pot) were a much better shout, and 16 of you profited accordingly. Elsewhere, Brighton and Watford were the teams to pick, winning against Swansea and Everton respectively.
This week’s TFG ‘Pick of the Week’ award is shared between Mr Damon Farnell and Mr Andy Fordham who braved what’s becoming known in the trade as a ‘reverse curse’, aka a West Brom home win by correctly predicting David Wagner’s Terriers would triumph at The Hawthorns; top picking gents.
Looking ahead to Game Week #29, and if you haven’t used both Burnley picks, now might be the time to cash in on Everton’s woeful away form. Otherwise, it’s Spurs and Liverpool which top the ‘most likely to win’ bill, hosting Huddersfield (who surely couldn’t win 2 on the bounce away) and Newcastle respectively.
Like last week, there’s a number of games that could easily end in a draw: Brighton v Arsenal, Man City v Chelsea, Swansea v West Ham, Leicester v Bournemouth, Southampton V Stoke. Pick at your peril! It’s also worth remembering that should any fixtures from the Game Week fall foul of the weather then you will still have that team logged as your pick, be awarded points and have the League Table show your true position Etc. once the fixture has been fulfilled.
Game Week #29 kicks off on Saturday lunchtime when Burnley entertain Everton at Turf Moor on Saturday lunchtime at 12:30. If you needed reminding, that will also be this week’s Game Week cut off time! When you’re ready to make your pick, head HERE to submit your selection.
Whoever you pick, good luck.
