Game Week 33
LE CRAS ‘ON HIS OWN’ AHEAD OF RUN IN
Whilst TFG League leader Rich Le Cras may fancy a flutter on 50/1 shot ‘On His Own’ in Saturday’s Grand National, the rest of the field will be hoping he falls back into the pack ahead of the TFG title run in.
Le Cras (and 19 others) needed a 93rd minute winner from Martin Olsson to secure all 3 points as Norwich took a giant step towards Premier League survival as they overcame a gutsy, but yet again defensively frail Newcastle.
Chris ‘Steveo’ Greenwood remained in the chase, as his, along with 16 others’ Chelsea pick eased past a broken Aston Villa in the early kick off. Remember Greenwood and 6th placed Sam Gilling are still waiting on their game in hand, so things at the top are bound to change over the final stages of the season.
Elsewhere, there were dropped points aplenty with 4 of the 10 fixtures ending in draws and a there were only handful of wins for the TFGers that opted for Arsenal, Man Utd or Man City.
The dwindling number of picks, and the fairly predictable nature of last weekend’s results mean that there is no TFG ‘Pick of the Week’ Award this week. Better luck in GW33 Mr Marshman!
So, onwards and upwards and there’s a plethora of good options for a potentially significant 3 points in Game Week 33. Bournemouth will hope to overcome Aston Villa and Southampton will be firm favourites at home to Newcastle.
If you’ve been saving a ‘big gun’ in the shape of Liverpool or Man City then maybe now is the time to unleash their fury, as they face West Brom and Stoke in respective home games.
Remember, each Game Week begins when the first match of the Game Week kicks off. This week, that’s the West Ham vs. Arsenal match at 12:45 on Saturday lunchtime.
Have a great weekend and we hope you back a winner in the big race on Saturday.
