Game Week 37
GREENWOOD 3 POINTS FROM INAUGURAL TFG CROWN
Chris ‘Steveo’ Greenwood was one of 36 TFGers in despair at precisely 16:35 last Saturday afternoon. How on earth could Watford be losing at home to bottom placed Villa? Thankfully for him (and the 35 others), Troy Deeney’s late brace rescued not just a point, but secured all 3, meaning another win this weekend will see him crowned inaugural TFG champion.
Anything other than win for second placed Rich Le Cras will also seal the fate of the top two. No doubt Greenwood will be eyeing up various shirt options as we speak, but rest assured Mr Le Cras, you can sleep soundly tonight knowing that a TFG badge and virtual high 5 will be on their way to you regardless of the weekend results.
The race to finish 2nd-6th, and thus securing yourself an aforementioned limited edition TFG pin badge is still wide open. In theory, those TFGers currently ranked as low as 10th could still be in with a shout if they can pick up 6 points from their remaining two games and other results go their way.

Looking forward to Game Week 37, all TFGers will either find themselves with 2,3 or 4 teams remaining in their pick pots. They could include newly crowned champions Leicester or 2nd placed Spurs, but sadly it’s much more likely to be bottom placed Aston Villa or relegation scrappers Norwich, Sunderland or Newcastle.
Unless of course you’ve done a ‘Les Berry’ and planned all your picks out with pen, paper and fixture list as far back as December.
Whichever teams you have left, you’ll be hard pressed to find the elusive 3 point banker this Game Week. Man City play Arsenal, Spurs host an in-form Southampton, Leicester will no doubt still be feeling the after effects of Jamie Vardy’s house party, and several of the teams in the top half play teams fighting for their Premier League existence.
Perhaps Liverpool, who host Watford at Anfield, might be the closest thing to that elusive home ‘banker’. Elsewhere, West Ham will want to take the race for Champions League places to the final week by beating Swansea in the penultimate fixture at The Boleyn Ground.

Remember, each Game Week begins when the first match of the Game Week kicks off. This week, that’s the Norwich vs. Man Utd match, which kicks off at 12:45 on Saturday afternoon.
