There’s nothing quite like a mid-week round of Premier League fixtures to get the juices flowing at TFG towers, as the realisation dawns late on a Monday night that an email needs to go out. So, with apologies for our (all too characteristic) tardiness, here’s a summary of what happened in GameWeek #24 and what lies in store over the next 48 hours.
It remains unbelievably tight at the top of the TFG league table, as Peter Harris continues to lead Alex Ormerod on goals scored. The gap is still 1 goal after both men picked different 2-0 winners (Stoke and Leicester) last time out. And it’s not just those two battling it out with the top 8 places separated by just 3 points.
There was a clear Pick of the Week winner as no one could come close to Jon Smith and his pick of Swansea to beat Liverpool. Well done Jon – text book stuff.
And a special mention to last week’s pick of the week winner Olaonipekun Paul Junaid whose team (“ARSENAL Football club”) lost this week after his Crystal Palace pick went down 4-1 to Arsenal. Loving your work Olaonipekun.
Moving on to GameWeek #25… and if you’ve still got any of the big six left, then Man City and Chelsea should be good bets to net comfortable home wins over West Brom and Bournemouth respectively. Elsewhere, you might fancy Stoke to pick up another win at home to Watford, or, if you’re not averse to going for an away team (and didn’t see last Monday’s game), maybe Arsenal to beat Swansea or Liverpool to beat Huddersfield could be tempting.
Good luck choosing a winner from the other fixtures (you can see the when you pick HERE).
